Too Cool To Revise?

Five tricks to get great results without turning you into the class swot!

Don’t panic! Texet – makers of the funky range of scientific calculators - have developed five top tips that will turn your boring revision timetable into a calendar of fun.

The TEXET Top Tips Are:

1. Sing
Whether you love Justin or Christina, one of the best ways to learn something is to make a song about it with a catchy tune, so you can remember all the information more easily. If you've got a favourite song then change the words to facts that you need to remember, you should find that they stick in your mind longer if you associate them with a tune.

2. Draw
Draw funny, colourful cartoon pictures that show a certain phrase or word you have difficulty in remembering

3. Games
Get your mates around and hold your own bedroom version of Millionaire. Make up some question cards with questions on the front and answers on the back – then get ready to play – don’t worry if you don’t have millions as a prize, chocolate squares work just as well!

4. Text
Do you spend a lot of time texting your mates? Try and out do each other by texting fascinating facts at the bottom of each message to each other – the more weird and wacky the better!

5. Decorate your room
…and learn facts on the go! List your top revision tips in places around the room so no matter what you are doing (drying your hair, putting on some makeup) you stay on top of the facts!

A Backchat

Calculators can make words as well as numbers. Turn it upside-down to read these!

31 x 7 = 3859 x 2 =
1929 x 4 = 179 x 3 =
1911 x 3 = 49612 + 5766 =
3651 + 1986 = 29611 + 8207 =
0.0123 + 0.0668 = 5632 + 2082 =
66666 + 10679 = 0.8968 – 0.1234 =
6311 + 1427 = 0.18 + 0.19 =
155699 + 223107 = 47681 – 12345 =
169 x 2 = 0.45 – 0.43 =
103 x 6 = 1377 x 4 =
